Step 1 — Stop the next charge
- On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
- Select Prequel: Photo & Video Editor → Cancel Subscription.
- Check that it now says Expires and not Renews. If it still says Renews, it is not canceled.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

You pay a subscription fee which just gives you access to buy “AI tokens” as a micro transaction in order to actually use features of the app you already payed a subscription for.
This is truly just an AI slop app. It completely distorts your face if you try to use one of the filters. I renewed my subscription with the app after a couple years, thinking it was probably the same, but I was in for a rude awakening. Please keep that in mind when you download this app all of your pictures will look weird.
Hate that you’re forced into a sub before you can even try it. Even then you get a whole 2 days to try it. That is no time at all. So I will try it to see if it’s worth the $6 a week. Which is also crazy high. $40/year is reasonable but with only 2 days to try $40 is a lot to commit for for a year before you even know.

Can I get a refund after I already canceled Prequel: Photo & Video Editor?
Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.
How long do I have to ask for a refund?
